Futuri Mobile apps feature a live news feature, which integrates RSS feeds from your station website or other news sources.

Creating News Categories
If your station website has an RSS feed for each vertical (e.g., Local, National, Entertainment, Business, etc.), you can add each one as a Live News Category in the Futuri Control Room RSS Feeds section.
Click New Category at the bottom, and enter a Feed Name that will appear as the news category label in the app, along with the RSS feed URL.
Formatting Your RSS Feed
Generally speaking, your RSS feed should contain the following tags in order to be formatted properly within the app:
- <title>
- <link>
- <description>
- <media:content> (to be displayed with the story)
Images will be displayed with each story in the list, scaled/cropped to 212x170px.
If your article contains hyperlinks, they will open in a webview browser within the app.
NOTE: Futuri Mobile apps do not support in-line audio or video players. It is recommended that stories with audio/video content should include a hyperlink to the content.
Breaking News Alerts
Users can subscribe to Breaking News Alerts, which come in the form of push notifications.
You can create and send push notifications directly from the Futuri Control Room in the Audience Alerts section. For more information, see Audience Alerts.
