This article will walk you through the export of Now Playing data from "WideOrbit Automation for Radio" to your Futuri Streaming Transmitter. There are two steps in the configuration of your Now Playing feed with WideOrbit.
- XML Event Driver (Central Server Configuration)
- Event Rule Set Mapping for (direct metadata exports to selected destinations)
|Note: In addition you will be required to send the IP address of your studio PC to Futuri VIP Support (as the streaming transmitter will pull Now Playing data from that address).|
XML Event Driver:
The Event Driver tells WideOrbit what data to publish and when to transmit that data.
Step 1 - Select "Now Playing" located under the "Configuration" menu item on the left side of the Central Server Configuration user interface.
Step 2 - Click the "Event Driver" tab, and select the link to "Add New Event Driver".
Step 3 - Enter a descriptive "Drive Name" (i.e. Futuri Streaming).
Step 4 - Define the events that will trigger the export. Defining both the "Start Play" and the "Stack Change" events will allow WideOrbit to export data for both the current on-air event and upcoming events. To initiate this process, you will first need to configure the "Start Play Event" , then click the +/plus button to add the "Stack Change Event".
Step 5 - To complete the Event Driver setup, click "Save".
Event Rule Set Mappings:
Event Rule Set Mappings direct metadata exports to a selected destination when an Event Driver triggers an export.
Step 1 - Select the "Event Rule Set Mappings" tab, and then click the link to "Map Event Rule Set".
Step 2 - Complete each option from the "Event Rule Set Mappings" screen, and click Save.

|Event Driver||From the drop-down list, select the Event Driver to associate with this destination. If you followed the recommendation above, this would be "Futuri Streaming".|
|Mapping Type||Select the TCP Port from the drop-down list.|
|Radio Automation System||Select the Server from the drop-down list, allowing remote devices and application to initiate the connection using a specified TCP Port.|
|TCP Port Number||Enter an available port number. Share this port number with your Futuri Installation Engineer.|
|Max Connections||Enter the maximum number of connections. Typically the default value of 16 is more than adequate.|
