Your station's Futuri Streaming player can be accessed on desktop and mobile, and Futuri can provide raw stream URLs for your station's mobile app as well. However, many stations like to be accessible on any platform possible, so this article will detail some notes on two of the most popular streaming platforms for radio: TuneIn and iHeartRadio.
TuneIn
TuneIn is a well-known radio streaming directory that is accessible via desktop, the TuneIn mobile app, and many internet radio devices (such as Sonos, Roku, and Xbox One). TuneIn's available platforms can be found here.
If you’d like to be added to TuneIn, you can go to http://tunein.com/syndication/new/?IsBroadcaster=true and fill out your station/contact info. We’d recommend using this URL when submitting that (replacing "xxxx" with your station call letters): http://xxxx.streamon.fm/listen.m3u.
iHeartRadio
iHeartRadio is another popular radio streaming platform available on desktop, mobile, and several connected devices (such as smart TVs, video game consoles, and connected car dashboards). A full list of iHeartRadio's available platforms can be found here.
iHeartRadio requires stations to enter a separate agreement to be carried on their platform. Often, iHeartRadio partners will air promotional spots in exchange for being listed on the platform. If your station is an English-language commercial broadcaster in the United States, you may be a qualified candidate for iHeartRadio.
