TopicPulse allows you to drill down to the news you want to see using saved Pulses and the filters at the top of the results screen.
To view trending stories in TopicPulse, select from your previously created SmartPulses or the default National & Lifestyle, Local Market, or State pulses.
You can also search for ad hoc topics across TopicPulse's entire content database.
Hone your results further using the filters:
New - View only the stories that have appeared in TopicPulse in the last few hours.
About To Go Viral - Stay ahead of your competition on social media. Using advanced predictive modeling, these stories are predicted to go viral in the next few hours.
Sort results to show the Most Recent stories or the ones with the highest TopicPulse Scores first.
Refine results by selecting stories with one or more Sentiments of your choice.
Filter results to stories trending with a certain Demographic. Choose from the pre-defined list or click +ADD FILTER to create your own.
On the right, toggle between List or Grid view to see your stories in a different layout.
In List view, you can quickly scroll through many stories, using the symbols and quick actions to expedite your work.
1) Performance labels let you know the status of each story:
Hot - New with lots of audience engagement and still climbing | |
Trending - Getting a high amount of engagement for some time | |
Active - Getting a consistent amount of engagement |
2) Tags tell you more about the stories:
New - View only the stories that have appeared in TopicPulse in the last few hours.
Story Angles - Indicates that there are covered and uncovered story angles detailed in the Story Intelligence.
3) Demographics - Indicates with which age group and gender(s) the story is trending
4) Bookmark - Click the star to save a story to your bookmarks
5) Click the ellipsis for quick actions:
Start first draft - Creates a First Draft short article summary
Copy link - Copy the sharing URL for the story to share with other TopicPulse users
Email - Automatically email the story to yourself
Hide - Remove the story from your TopicPulse results. NOTE: This cannot be undone.
