Futuri Mobile News/Talk stations have access to a powerful "On-Air Now" tool that is designed to give hosts and producers the ability to add engaging live content within the app that corresponds with what's currently happening on the air.
This article will break down the tool as follows:
- Types of On-Air Now content
- Managing On-Air Now content
- Default (non-live) content for the On-Air Now page
Types of On-Air Now content
The following types of On-Air Now content can currently be created:
Managing On-Air Now content
The panel for managing On-Air Now content can be found in the Futuri Control Room under Mobile App Talk Features > On Air Now.
In this panel, you'll see three columns:
- Create
- Preview
- Go Live
Under "Create," you'll see your options of Poll, Photo, or Link. You can create any of these from scratch, or you can choose a previously created piece of content. Once you've prepped your content, click "Preview."
The content you created will be formatted and will appear in the middle column so you can make sure it looks the way you want it to. When you're ready to push the content live, click "Go Live" above the Preview phone window.
The mockup on the right will always show what's currently on the On-Air Now page. If you want to clear your current content and revert to the page's default content, click "Clear Live" above the Live phone window.
Default (non-live) content for the On-Air Now page
There are two options for default content on the On-Air Now page that will be shown when there is no live content being pushed to this position, and both can be used at the same time if you prefer. Both are managed in the Futuri Control Room under Mobile App Talk Features > On-Air Now Defaults:
- Static Image (shown toward the top of the window)
- Bottom HTML (shown below the static image, if there is one)
Bottom HTML could be used to daypart show banners, for example. If you need help setting this up, please contact Futuri VIP Support
