Transmitter Audio Connections - AoIP (Axia)

This article covers connecting your Axia Livewire Audio Over IP (AoIP) network to your Futuri transmitter.  Take these steps after supplying power to your transmitter and connecting it to your internet network.

Gen4 Transmitters

Single Stream (SST)

IMPORTANT: Futuri requires a "Standard Stereo" feed, NOT a "Live Stream" feed. The "Live Stream" feed will result in skips and drops in audio.
  1. Connect your Axia network to the transmitter via the ETH2 port.  If you have separate networks for streaming, automation, and AoIP, it will be necessary to use a USB Ethernet adapter to add an additional ethernet port.   
  2. ofSelect the Gray Gear in the upper right corner from the GUI Menu and configure Eth2 with an address on your AoIP network. 
  3. After saving the information, return to the Main Menu and select the station to display the orange settings icon.   
  4. Click the "Settings" icon.
  5. From Audio Input, select "AoIP" (Set to "Input Type").
  6. Enter the channel number for the audio.
  7. Click "Save".  

Multi-Stream (MST)

IMPORTANT: Futuri requires a "Standard Stereo" feed, NOT a "Live Stream" feed. The "Live Stream" feed will result in skips and drops in audio.
  1. Connect your Axia network to the transmitter via the dedicated "AoIP" port.
  2. ofSelect the Gray Gear in the upper right corner from the GUI Menu and configure Eth3 with an address on your AoIP network. 
  3. After saving the information, return to the Main Menu and select the station to display the orange settings icon.   
  4. Click the "Settings" icon.
  5. From Audio Input, select "AoIP" (Set to "Input Type").
  6. Enter the channel number for the audio.
  7. Click "Save".  


Gen3 Transmitters

  1. Connect your Axia network to the transmitter via the ETH2 port.  
  2. Next, email vipsupport@futurimedia.com with the following information so that we can configure the AoIP integration:
  • The Static IP address and subnet on your AoIP network (that we will be assigning to Eth2).
  • The channel we should use to listen to the audio.
  • If your station will be using Futuri POST, we will also require the IP address of your console (used to listen for mic/fader activity).
  • The IP address of the Axia node and the port and pin number of your microphone.
