General

How do I log into TopLine?

Click here: https://topline.futurimedia.com/.  Use the Forgot your password? option if you need to reset your password.

How do I add or remove a TopLine user on my account?

Please contact our VIP Support Team for any user updates.  You can reach us via the chat icon in the upper right corner of your TopLine dashboard, by emailing vipsupport@futurimedia.com, or by calling 1-877-221-7979, option 1.

NOTE:  To add a new user, we will need their name, title, mobile number and access level.

What does the Home page search bar do?

The Home Page Search Bar performs a contextual search, unlike keyword searches elsewhere in TopLine. It examines content within Infographics, articles, and Co-ops, providing the most relevant results in each area.

For instance, searching "Home Improvement" returns the top 25 most relevant Home Improvement Infographics, articles, and Co-ops, rather than all related content. For broad categories like "Home Improvement," refine your search by subcategories like "Roofing" or "Landscaping" for more targeted results.

Research

I received a presentation from TopLine months ago and would like the data updated. What should I do?

Click on Research on the left side of your TopLine dashboard and search for the name of the request or check the filter to just show Research I've Requested. Click the Update/Customize button to the right of the request you want updated.

Alternatively, click on the request and click the Update/Customize button there.

Follow the steps and let us know to update the Presentation under “What changes should be made?” and then Submit.

I submitted my research request, but I forgot to add something. What do I do?

If the request has been submitted but has not been delivered to you yet, call us at 877-221-7979 or email us at vipsupport@futurimedia.com. You can also “chat” with a TopLine support agent by clicking on the speech bubble icon on the upper right side of your dashboard.

We have a very responsive support team waiting to take your call or your email! Just let us know what information you forgot to add, and we will communicate it to our team.

I just received my request, and I have a question about the data and possibly some revisions. Can I speak with an analyst?

Yes!  Call us at 877-221-7979, email us at vipsupport@futurimedia.com, or send us a chat message (see the previous question). Our TopLine support team will look up your request and answer your questions or put you in touch with the analyst who completed it.

If you already know revisions are needed, click on Research on the left side of your TopLine dashboard and search for the request by name, or check the filter to show Research I've Requested.  Click the Update/Customize button to the right of the request you want updated.

Alternatively, click on the request and click the Update/Customize button there.

Follow the steps and let us know to update the Presentation under “What changes should be made?” and then Submit.

I need my request completed more quickly than your standard deadline. Can you process rush requests?

We know that sometimes you need a quick turnaround, and although we cannot guarantee that we will be able to complete your request more quickly than our standard deadlines, we like to try!  Allow us to accommodate your quick-turn needs. Submit your request and let us know when you need it in the Special Instructions. We will communicate with you if it cannot be done or possibly offer options for a different type of deliverable.

I ordered an Infographic, and I love the research you pulled! How do I turn this into a Fully-Designed Presentation?

Click on Research on the left side of your TopLine dashboard and search for the name of the request or check the filter to just show Research I've Requested. Click the Update/Customize button to the right of the request you want updated.

Alternatively, click on the request and click the Update/Customize button there.

Follow the steps and let us know to update the request to a Fully Designed Presentation or Fully Designed Infographic under “What changes should be made?” and then Submit.

I submitted a research request but forgot the due date I selected. Where can I check?

Go to Research on your dashboard and check the filter to show only Research I've Requested. Requests that have been submitted and are still in progress will be at the top of the screen. By clicking anywhere inside the card, you can see all the request details, including the due date.

I just received my Fully Designed Infographic. Can I have this in PowerPoint?

We create our Fully Designed Infographics in Adobe Illustrator, so they look clean and sleek. However, we can upload your Fully Designed Infographic onto a PowerPoint slide if you want to include it in a larger presentation. Just contact our support team by calling 877-221-7979, emailing us at VIPSUPPORT@FUTURIMEDIA.COM, or connecting with us on Chat.

I can't see Research or Station Snapshots on my dashboard. Where do I find those buttons?

Look in the lower left corner of your screen to make sure your sidebar is not collapsed. If you see a double arrow pointing to the right, click on that icon. That will open up the sidebar, and you will see the options spelled out.

What are the one-sheets in My Research Feed that are labeled National?

TopLine produces new Infographics weekly on consumer, industry, and category trends.  These Infographics are based on national data and can be updated for your local market.

Can I update or localize a National infographic?

Yes, National infographics can be updated for your local market by hitting the Update/Customize button on the right side of the row. In the “What changes should be made?” field, you can respond with things like:

  • “Please update for my market.”
  • “Please update for the consumers in my market but also show why my cluster (station group as a whole) makes sense.”
  • “Please update for the consumers in my market and also show why my station WXYZ is a good match for that consumer group.”

If there’s a specific stat you’d like us to use from another presentation, you can upload that file. Just let us know what part of the uploaded document you’d like us to use in the “What changes should be made?” section.

Business News

Can I send a Business News article to a client or prospect?

Yes, when you see the headline of an article you want to send, click on the article to open the full synopsis.  The sharing symbol is located at the lower right of the synopsis.  It will send a link to the full article, not the synopsis, to the address you enter.  We suggest you read the full article by clicking the blue/purple button at the bottom left of the synopsis labeled “Read Full Article” before sending it to a client or prospect.

Co-Op

How do I find local retailers who have a specific Co-Op?

If a manufacturer provides a dealer locator, you can search for local dealers in your market who carry that brand. Not every manufacturer provides this feature, but if they do, TopLine co-op will have it.

To see a dealer locator, click on the co-op “card” for a specific manufacturer.  On the Co-Op details page, if one is available, a Local Dealer Locator button will be at the top right. Click the button and enter your geographic location to find dealers in your area.

Can I find dealers or manufacturers who have 100% co-op?

TopLine Co-Op allows you to sort by manufacturers with 100% reimbursement and those whose plans expire soon.  When you click on Co-op on the left side of the dashboard, the Co-op Reports will show on your main dashboard screen.  Simply check the box for 100% Paid Per Ad to access all 100% reimbursement plans.

How do I find co-op plans that are expiring the soonest?

Click on Co-op on the left side of the dashboard.  Then, check the box for Expiring soonest. Your results will be filtered to first show you all co-op plans expiring in the current month, followed chronologically by expirations in the following months.

Why can’t I find a specific Co-Op plan that I know exists?

TopLine co-op is constantly changing.  As plans expire, we remove them.  New plans are added as manufacturers release them.  Please check back, as results can vary daily.

Personality Prep

Does the decision-maker have to have a LinkedIn URL to get a Personality Prep?

We use LinkedIn for two reasons: we want to know what the decision-maker is like in a business setting, and LinkedIn is the only social media platform that doesn't require a connection to access a profile.

What is Personality Prep based on, and how accurate is it?

Personality Prep is based on the DISC behavioral methodology and uses 36 points of analysis to determine someone’s behavioral style when they are in buying mode within about 85% accuracy.

Digital/MapIt

How do I get a heat map of category spending in my market?

In the Digital/MapIt section, request a MapIt report. For additional instructions, click here.

Can I put the business location on MapIt?

Yes!  When entering a MapIt request, you can add the business’s location(s) on the map by typing addresses in the box that says Add Pinpoints Location.

Station Snapshots

Where do I find my Station Snapshots and Templates in TopLine?

Click on Station Snapshots on the left side of your dashboard. From here, you can scroll through pieces or use the search bar to refine your results. Entering a specific set of call letters will return all the templates and snapshots for that station. Enter the word “cluster” to see all the different positioning pieces currently available in your dashboard.

I would like to change my station's template or snapshot.  How do I do that?

Only managers can change templates or station snapshots.    To request the change, click the Update/Customize button to the right of the request you want updated.

For a template change, enter your updates into the box asking, "Please tell us what this template is for.”  Enter any special instructions into the box for “Special Instructions”.

For a snapshot change, enter changes into the box labeled “What changes should be made?”

Then click Submit.
